VALLEJO — Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation recently announced a $1 million commitment  “to support ongoing restoration and long-term stewardship of Glen Cove.”

The announcement was made during a recent gathering at Glen Cove Waterfront Park  in Vallejo.

“The program included remarks from tribal and local leaders, a ceremonial seed  moment symbolizing renewal and continued stewardship, and a guided walking tour  highlighting visible progress across the site – from expanded native plantings to habitat  restoration now taking shape across the landscape,” Yocha Dehe said in a statement.

“Glen Cove holds deep cultural significance within Patwin territory, and this effort  reflects a long-term commitment to restoring and caring for the land in partnership  with the broader community.”
