  • The Tribe is represented on the CalEPA Tribal Advisory Committee in order to work collaboratively to protect both tribal sovereignty and the natural resources of California.
  • CalRecycle Farm and Ranch Solid Waste Cleanup and Abatement Grant – 2020.

Cache Creek Conservancy

  • Partners for riparian invasive weed control and re-vegetation on Cache Creek.

California Certified Organic Farm

  • Yocha Dehe Organic certified 250-acre farm to produce wheat for neighboring organic pig farm and sunflower seed to plant for oil – October 2009.

Center for Land-Based Learning

  • Student and Landowner Education and Watershed Stewardship (SLEWS) field day with Yocha Dehe Wintun Academy and Esparto students to educate about the benefits and uses of native plantings.

Philanthropic Partnerships

  • The Yocha Dehe Community Fund awarded funding to Sacramento Yolo Mutual Housing Association for a net-zero affordable housing project, and has partnered with numerous organizations dedicated to environmental sustainability.

  • California Trane High-Performance Building Showcase award for Thermal Energy Storage System – 2010.

U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS)

  • Several Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) grants since 2009 have been received for work on the Tribe’s ranches in support of water conservation, rangeland conservation, sustainable grazing practices, and organic practices.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

The Tribe annually receives an EPA General Assistance Program grant (2011-present) to improve solid waste management, conduct community outreach activities, and further develop the capacity of the Tribe’s Environmental Department.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS)

  • Tribal Wildlife Grant for riparian invasive weed control and re-vegetation – 2010-2012.

U.S. Green Building Council

  • LEED-Silver certification for the clubhouse at the Yocha Dehe Golf Club – 2009.
  • LEED-Platinum certification for the facility building on the Tribe’s Maintenance & Operations Building  – 2012.

  • Project of the Year Award for the Cache Creek Desalination Facility – 2009.

Yolo County Resource Conservation District

  • Planting 2,400 feet of native hedgerow to provide a wildlife corridor, habitat for beneficial insects, a windbreak and to slow runoff.
  • Controlling invasive riparian and upland weeds.

Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Agency (YSGA)

  • The Tribe serves on the board of the YSGA in order to sustainably manage groundwater in the Capay Valley and throughout Yolo County.
