For thousands of years, our people have cared for the land in Capay Valley—protecting native plant and animal species and preserving environmental balance. Today, Yocha Dehe operates one of the most diverse farming operations in Yolo County and is among the few Tribes in California expanding agricultural production. Of the 3,000 acres currently being farmed, 250 acres are certified organic. Additionally, more than 1,200 acres of Tribal land are protected through permanent conservation easements.

Sustainable Stewardship of Land and Livestock
Yocha Dehe takes great pride in managing and cultivating more than a dozen crops using best practices in sustainable farming. Natural systems—such as beneficial insects, cover crops, mulching, drip irrigation, and thoughtful crop rotation—help maintain soil health and protect the environment. Beyond farming, the Tribe also manages 800 head of cattle on 20,000 acres of rangeland in Capay Valley, following a sustainable grazing program that supports long-term land stewardship.

The Séka Hills Experience

Launched in 2011, the Séka Hills brand showcases the agricultural richness of Yocha Dehe lands through premium wines, certified extra virgin olive oils, and honey. We produce seven varietal wines from estate-grown vineyards and cultivate more than 500 acres of olive trees for our award-winning oils.

Our community-focused olive mill in Brooks supports both Tribal and regional growers with custom milling services. Located within the mill, the Séka Hills Tasting Room offers guided tastings and a firsthand look at how our olives are transformed into world-class olive oil.

Seasonal bounty from Tribal lands enhances deli sandwiches and salads served at the Tasting Room, and visitors often take home just-picked produce along with Séka Hills products.

Building on the success of our original Tasting Room, we opened a second location in Midtown Sacramento—bringing our wines, olive oils, honey, nuts, and more to new audiences in the heart of the city.
