The donation helped the Esparto School District to close its 2009-2010 budget gap for the year.
The Yocha Dehe Tribal Council donated $335,853 to the Esparto School District in order to help close a large budget gap.
Similar to many other school districts, the Esparto Unified School District was facing a $400,000 budget gap for the 2009-2010 school year, causing the schools to make drastic cuts to programs serving the Capay Valley.
The Tribe’s important donation helped the school district reconcile its budgets and will enable the schools to provide transportation services for the year.
