The Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation Library Media Center provides materials in book, CD, MP3 and DVD formats to serve the cultural, educational, personal and entertainment needs of the tribal community and staff. Literacy kits are now available for families with young children. Kits include a book and toy manipulative to encourage literacy in our youngest patrons.

The Academy’s Library Media curriculum was developed to correlate with the Common Core Standards to support classroom learning. The goal of the curriculum is to develop information and technological literacy to prepare students for learning in the 21st Century. The Accelerated Reader program incorporates independent sustained reading time into each school day for grades 1-8. Students develop their comprehension and vocabulary skills by taking quizzes after each book completed. Weekly and trimester goals are created for each student. Weekly progress monitoring ensures that students stay on track.
