The Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation is dedicated to ensuring the economic benefits of the Tribe’s gaming operations are felt locally, in communities within its ancestral territories. The Tribe’s giving programs also support regional and statewide initiatives and Native American causes nationwide.
Guided by traditional values of giving and sharing, Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation is dedicated to building healthy communities through engaged philanthropy and strategic alliances. Emphasizing partnerships to drive sustainable outcomes, the Tribe operates two programs, each with distinct priorities and goals.
Community Fund
In 2000, the citizens of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation founded the Community Fund to provide philanthropic support to community organizations throughout the region, state and nation, with significant focus on programs within Yolo County. The Fund is wholly controlled by the Tribe and governed by a Board of Directors made up of tribal citizens. Guided by six funding priorities, the Community Fund utilizes philanthropic partnerships as a vehicle to advance healthy community initiatives.
Doyuti T’uhkama
Doyuti T’uhkama invests in projects and initiatives that positively impact the community, by virtue of their inherent cultural, environmental, economic or social value. Under its 2016 Tribal-State Compact, Yocha Dehe can now redirect funding that would otherwise go to the State to support a variety of worthy causes, projects and initiatives, all with the common theme of enhancing or enriching the quality of life for Californians.
